Today was Julian's school Halloween Party - what fun! She was so excited to see all of her friends dressed up and everyone had a great time!

Army 10 Miler...

When we decided to register and train for the Army 10 Miler back in March, I could not even run a mile and my goal was to just finish! 7 months later I not only finished, I finished well! Before we left I set my goal to finish in under 100 minutes (1 hr 40 min) and as you can see, I beat my goal! It was a wonderful weekend, full of good food and laughter, but most importantly, GREAT friends! I am so proud of all of us for setting out on this journey together!

School Days..

Sorry I haven't "blogged" lately...but things are picking up around here so there will be lots of updates to come! Today, Julian went for a half-day of school...she officially starts on Tuesday and is VERY excited! Here are just a few shots I snapped before we left this morning :)

Ava was NOT happy when we dropped GI off - she cried and kept calling for "G" until we picked her up!

Another cake...

So I was asked to make a cake for a baby shower for a friend of mine who is having a little girl - I was thrilled to find out that she is decorating the nursery in pink and brown and thought this would be the perfect cake for her! It stressed me out, but it all came together and I am very proud of the result! Thinking of starting a cake business...any suggestions???

Soccer Anyone?

Julian is so excited to start soccer this Fall! We got her all geared up yesterday and she was anxious to get home and try everything out! Games start the beginning of September!

Must Love Dogs?

Our dear friends (Trent and Emily) moved to Colorado Springs this past weekend and have been staying with us while they get their house settled. Their dog, Annabelle, has made quite an impression on the girls...mind you these two girls, especially Ava, have always been seriously afraid of dogs! Annabelle is as sweet as they come and Ava has found a new best friend :) She runs around saying "Annabelle nice, Annabelle nice!"...so cute!
